Foundation Row:
Beginning with 2nd chain from
hook, pick up loop in the back hump of each chain across, until one chain
remains. You should have 24 loops on your hook.
Work reverse pass by making a yarn over and drawing the yarn through the
first loop on the hook, *yarn over, and draw through two loops. Repeat from *
until there is only one loop on the hook.
Row 2: Skip first vertical bar, insert hook from right to left under the next vertical bar. Yarn over and pull up a loop, leave on hook. Work across to last stitch. To work last stitch, insert hook into the chain under both bars, yarn over and pull up a loop.
Work reverse pass by making a yarn over and drawing the yarn through the first loop on the hook, *yarn over, and draw through two loops. Repeat from * until there is only one loop on the hook.
Repeat row 2 til fabric reaches around the coat hanger.
Last Row:Tunisian Bind-Off *Insert the hook from
right to left behind the next vertical bar and yarn over. Draw a loop through
both the vertical bar and the loop on the hook - like a slip stitch** Repeat
from * to** until the one vertical bar remains that defines the "far
edge" of the fabric.
Using a needle, sew fabric together lengthwise around coat hanger, sew in thread ends. Decorate with ribbon and crochet flower.
